Haha. I came to the same conclusion earlier today. I tried several kinds in a shop and the pedros one was the one that worked. The park tools did lift the tyre but wouldn't slide.
It seems it's not the tyre that's particularly tricky, it's my rims. There is no room them and the tyre gets tighter instead of looser as you push from the lip.
