It's a website url.
It appears to be some kind of bar/theatre/lounge/something.
What are you after exactly? -

It's alright. Bit pretentious.
I went there once for a nice quiet can of red stripe but they kept doing performance art all over the place, it was a bit distracting.

I had a shunt fitted when I was in hospital for knee surgery, confused the hell out of me when I woke up on the ward with it in the back of my hand.
I pulled it out, then got confused when my hand started leaking.
Sorry this is not very helpful.

Was just after some experiences at the place before scoping it out for myself.

Amusing enough, never really feels like a proper night out in my opinion... they once walked goats about the place at 1am, bastards.

I'm a fan of Shunt, but then I'm not a fan of clubbing and I go to an art college so...

Seriously though, it's nice and mellow - kind of weird but in a good way for the most part. The first time I went someone just brought over a plate of sammiches for us which was nice. If you're not into the art you can normally ignore it and enjoy the atmosphere / location. £5 to get in which seems a bit much given that you don't get a whole lot for your money and the drinks aren't super cheap but it's OK once in a while. Closes with enough time for me catch the last train home and not feel like I'm missing out on anything. Suits me pretty well, all in all.

Is this a new euphemism?

Yeah it'd just be for a chilled night out. Nothing intense. Just something other than a pub for once haha

You should go, just for the experience of walking down a 100m long pitch black corridoor to emerge out under the huge brick arches. Awsome place. That is me speaking in my architectural veupoint. As a place for a night out it is quite fun as well.

You should be ashamed of yourself for being so careless as to drink Red Stripe in such a place. How could it possibly be interpreted as anything other than performance art? No wonder it was infectious and people started to compete against you.

Couldn't agree more. Not a "regular evenings out" sort of place, but a real one-off venue and a fine change from the usual round of London boozatoria.

I like it.

i used to deliver there. it's a dark long tunnel.
YouTube - origin unknown valley of the shadows
the girl in reception kept calling me "dude" all the time

i'm a big fan, its actually somewhere you can talk to people and not be deafened, and there's usually a bunch of interesting (and sometimes painfully arty) things going on.
i've seen some really good bands there before too.
shunt ftw -

Um, ten quid to get in last time I went. That took the shine off the evening somewhat as it is a nice drink in an interesting place sort of thing rather than a supercharged night out. Ten is a lot for that.
No dispute about the atmos-filled nature of the locale though. Something else.

I like the place. get there early, bag a table and drink the bottles of wine - not bad value.
It's a stunning venue and a great place to take out of towners. The art can be fun - we once watched someone attempt to set the european indoor pole vaulting record, whilst hammered.
i wouldn't go there every week, but once in a while is fine.

i agree.
also - interesting fact - i got my 'face art' at on end of the tunnel out the back of shunt.
