Yep, suck it up down Kingsway and over Waterloo Bridge.
Peel off at the end and along Upper Ground.
Cut around the south end of Blackfriars Bridge and trundle along NCN4 along the riverside or go down Southwark Street, which is hardly ever as bad as the main routes on the north side.
