Good news, its permanent - they put down the road markings.
Means I got the raddest smooth road right next to my yard. Gonna be wearing my (skateboard) wheels thin during the next few weeks! And practice some spinning on the bike.

My names shamim, you met me at that little ride Gavin organised. When I was being pathetic at racing along floodgate street.
I ocassionally loiter at ideal, never ridden the ramp though. To be honest because I cant! Just getting back into skating after a few years and enjoying rolling around trying to do skids.
Random Urban, good places to have fun on your fixed wheel bike:
Next to where I live (in moseley)
There is a long downhill stretch called anderton park road. Its nearly a KM I think & dead straight. It used to have a rough gravelly surface but just today it has been surfaced with the smoothest black tarmac I have ever seen. I just spotted it and was wowed, pulled out the skateboard and have been practicing powerslides tonight.
I am guessing they might stick gravel back on it soon, if you want to come race up & down it in silent smoothness - do it now. You can do Frisco style skids all the way down (ok not that steep)
