• What's the pros of threadless valves? Surely the threaded one are easier too fit, as you secure the valve onto the rim?

    Valve lockrings are shit. I've seen too many people overtighten them and fuck up tubes, and they've also got a nasty habit of working loose and rattling around.

    You don't need to 'secure' a valve when fitting a tube, unless maybe you're learning disabled or something (I worked with learning disabled people, and some of that fiddly symmetrical stuff does their heads in).
