  • We noticed from our internet monitor reports that "eyebrows" posted a link to our website - which was nice...

We don't usually post commercial offers on forums - however...

Just to let you know that we have set up a discount code specifically for London Fixed Gear and Single Speed users - "FGSS15". If you enter this code at the check out - you will all receive an additional 15% off our listed prices - including all sale items.

Once again sorry for the commercial message - but thought you may be interested!

  • Unless my maths is all wrong, that makes you even cheaper than Biddle Bikes for the 2008 Fuji Track, albeit it appears that the 61cm is all that's left. Tall people - fill yer boots! :-)

Taking off the 15% discount makes it only £612

  • hi all. received my fuji track yesterday and love it already. there are 3 small (a couple of sq. millimetres) paint chips however that got me worried. is this normal for bikes in this price range or should I return it before taking out for a spin? they dont really bother me but wouldn t want to get cheated out of my money and/or risk rust already. another thing is that under the bottom bracket where the serial numbers are, someone, presumably an evanscycles employee chipped the grey paint (which at the point seems like it has been made to be chipped in a perfect rectangle) to reveal the serial number but did it badly and scratched the black coating as well. do I make any sense? thanx for your time.

If you don't mind me asking where did you get your bikefrom??

  • Hint is "presumably an evanscycles employee" unless they've taken to breaking into the Biddle warehouse and stealthily committing minor acts of vandalism.

  • i mailed them regarding c2c. very quick response sayign they are looking into a couple of scheme's at present so will get back to me soon.

impressed with their response time... 4 days and still waiting for condor to get back to me!

  • ive been eyeing them up for a long time, but i want to sit on one thats already built up to see how it feels. id find it hard to buy one without trying it out.

ive got the 2008 in a 54 if anyone wants to have a little gander/ride.........!! i absolutely love it !!

  • @dammit - you drill out the carbon fork for a brake or what?

Edwardes of Camberwell have a tame engineer who drilled the fork.

  • Edwardes of Camberwell have a tame engineer who drilled the fork.

presume you got yours then mate !?!?

  • Yep

  • I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Here are both ends of the pedal, where I'd expect a screw to be. They're both sealed:

(the first is a bad photo, but it has an "R" for right side pedal)

I've tried prising the ends off, but they're not seeming to budge much, and I'm loathe to break them to get them off.

Anyone know how this works? I presume I'm being dense somehow, but still...

  • Are there spanner flats on the pedal?

  • use a 15mm wrench on the flat bits on the pedal axle, where the pedal attaches to the crank.

  • I've either got stupid amounts of rust, or the pedal axle is welded to the crank :(

  • Turn the spanner anti-clockwise (?).

  • The bit outlined in red is where I applied the wrench. It doesn't seem to want to move, and there are no other obvious places to wrench it. I'll Man Up™ and give it another go.

  • it's possible that it's seized up, try some wd-40 (spray it into the thread, don't drink it) and a bigger wrench for more leverage.

  • thats the right place...

    lefty loosey righty tighty!

  • Remember the left hand pedal has a left hand thread on it - rotate clockwise to undo. (Both pedals undo by rotating the way the do in normal use.)

Also, you are not the first: http://www.londonfgss.com/thread2482.html

  • When i took off the pedals on my Fugi, its it was like they were welded to the cranks. Eventually took the crank arms off, took apart the pedals, put the peal axle in a vice and pulled on the crank arm. This worked eventually. Persevere.

  • looked at one today, the frames seem to be a little thin?
anyone had any buckling with the frames as the hit small holes or go up curbs?

  • not on my old one!
