What a brilliant day me and Eddie had today! We covered 50 miles, took in the sights and delights of Ugley and Stansted Mountfitchet, had a nice pub lunch at the Beautiful Ugley Chequers, Eddie had his rear hub rebuilt for him for three pounds as it was on its last legs (!), and yours truly almost bailed 4 miles from home (!). Luckily Eddie spurred me on, and we cycled through the Spicers Whittlesford footpath.
Eddie would've covered a further 16 miles to get from home and back, so hats off to him! And the weather, unbelieveable, tail wind all the way south, with a hint of head wind on the way back, and mega head wind the last 10 miles or so. No rain. Sunshine in places. Cracking!
