Don't forget to call BLB, tour de ville, bike 14 etc, to warn them that a theft might sell those wheels to them!

Sorry to hear about your wheels. There's some total cunts living in London.
Get down brick lane tomorrow of course... this stealing shit is just out of control. Something serious needs to be done about it. How about some organised mass forum turn out on brick lane ?

something needs to be organised to try and address this ongoing major problem. It's got to the stage where you can't ride your bike anywhere unless you can guarantee it's totally safe.

Increase police patrol, make theft likely to shit their brick when they hear footsteps.
Why isn't the simplest solution always get avoided by poltican??? He'll it's how they greatly reduced the crime rate in London during the 1750 with the introduction of 'bobbies'.

Yeah should be a priority of Boris' to get it sorted. We need to Lobby him on mass outside his palace by Tower Bridge.

Honeypot bikes with vigilante mobs in side streets armed with 1/8th bike chains and and thomson seat posts?

mostly safe in london apart from east london...but i like the approach boris style at city hall although i don't think the secruity chaps will. Might get a message across with coverage.

I can see why they took your pedal - they already have a 15mm spanner for the wheels, so they might as well take the pedal using the spanner.

Exactly. A load of us outside city hall might get the message across. Inform the media etc and get all cyclists down there for an on mass demo against bike theft...

err.. this is mildly off-topic, but Boris the Idiot is appearing on Any Questions (R4) next Friday at somewhere in London - King's College as far as I know.
You could turn up there and ask him (live on the radio) exactly what it is he is doing about things like bike theft/cyclist squashing...Anyway good luck on getting your wheels back and giving the thief a good pasting.

coming home last night (about 130) i had to avoid a guy on a ss/fixed loitering around (on bolyen rd) he abused me as i went past but looked as if a)he was hanging around looking to steel bike related stuff b) just being a dick c)enjoyed cycling in circles near the george cinema at the back of dalston road....i was quite pissed so i only noticed that he was a chav on a ss/fixed no other things about him.
given he was on ss/fixed maybe he was the one who was scoping potential aerospoks and the like out. anyway thought i'd mention it as it feel too much of a coincidence. and maybe you've got enough anger in you to see if he is there again.

.he'll just have a media line 'i've put 400 new police out on the street by getting rid of marketing budget' blah blah blah.... politicians are practiced at answer such questions.
i think it is better to organise big ride on a week day - from scotland yard to city hall - fucking up all the traffic. as politicians hate it and it will get all over the media. taxi drivers do it all the time and they get what ever they want.

it's the sclater street car park.. if you're heading down from the bethnal green end, it's about 1/4 of the way along on the right.. LOADS of dodgy fuckers there with bolt cutters hanging up inside white vans etc
shoreditch pol stn, 1 shepherdess walk, n1... 2 mins from old st roundabout off city road,
but it might be quicker to report over the phone due to long queues at the station.
