People to ride with in LA!

I'm going to be in USA on a wee road trip on my own with my bike from May to mid June.
Im planning on getting flying into LA , getting a one way ticket on the Amtrak to Vancouver and staying with mates in LA, SF, Seattle and then onto Vancouver.

I've got friends to ride with in SF and Seattle but the friends im going to see in Van and LA don't ride. Ive joined LA fixed and vancouver fixed but i was wondering if anyone on here is from there or has friends that would like to go for a wee pedal ?!

All the bits that are really nice to ride in LA, I kinda wouldn't want to do fixed....

Topanga and Malibu canyons are lovely roads if you make it up there.

Mulholland and environs (Coldwater Canyon etc.) are nice if you're staying in Hollywood / N.Hollywood etc.

Plans are a little uncertain at the minute but I hope to be out there again about then, I need to earn some cash though so I can't be 100% on when I'm out next...
I did a couple of shifts at the bicycle kitchen but was too flakey to keep up going there as much as I should have, maybe if I get back I'll try again!
Mackenzie, I'll give you a shout if I'm in town when you are, it'd be great to have someone to ride with - most of my favourite routes all went from the canyon where we were living and seemed to end at the coast, they weren't all amazing roads, and the general standard of car driver is scary, but its such a cool way to see the city and learn the different neighborhoods... oh.. and it wasn't raining! (all the time!)
