You must gather a lot of momentum when cycling. Comparable, I presume to the amount of crap you post on this forum

So even once they're totally dry they'll slip off in the wet? I've got Soyos on risers and I just got them on using brute force (took ages) and they're properly stuck on. Surely once the soapy water (not much of it) has dried, they'll be similar.

I used the soapy method and had no problems.
However, if they're steel 123s they'll rust inside.
Not terminally, but enough for a dribble of arse gravy to leak out.

and stick em in your hot water cubboard (or whatever it's called here) .... or a air conditioned office to dry out

the point of the hairspray is that it's wet to get them on and when it drys it sticks, so they wont slip of like they might with soap and water. spray some hairspray in your palm and make a clenched fist for a minute, you'll get the jist. or just use it on the bars
Nitto B123s, Nitto Pearl, Yoshida Champs.
Very sexy indeed. I've seen them about on other people's bikes but never the lot together. Can't wait until their dry (used soapy water so will be a while) and then I can get out and fall on them.
