So even once they're totally dry they'll slip off in the wet? I've got Soyos on risers and I just got them on using brute force (took ages) and they're properly stuck on. Surely once the soapy water (not much of it) has dried, they'll be similar.

the point of the hairspray is that it's wet to get them on and when it drys it sticks, so they wont slip of like they might with soap and water. spray some hairspray in your palm and make a clenched fist for a minute, you'll get the jist. or just use it on the bars
