Can we please get a vegans viewpoint on removing animals from their native habitat and domesticating them for the sole purpose of making them our little playthings?
It differs from Vegan to vegan, as do things like dietary requirements, medicines, clothing etc. What one of us views as acceptable may be abhorant to another.

My personal view is that keeping animals is akin to slavery, but I should stipulate that it's my opinion and mine alone. Others are free to do as they wish as my choices only hold true for myself.

I have vegan friends who keep pets, some rescued some purchased. There is no definite line in the sand, so to speak.
