I'd be inclined to take the mavic/ultegra combo as a training wheel, without even considering the price (depending of course on the exact details, and what is meant by vgc). The price difference in favour of this (and by a significant margin), makes this a no-brainer, surely?!

thanks guys - I'm convinced. Mavic/ultegra it is.
I need a 650 training wheel for my tt bike. I've been offered an ultegra hub / mavic rim / tyre combo in "vgc" for £45 posted.
Alternatively, i can pick up a new Kyrsium 650 for £100. Is there any benefit in paying more for the Kyrsium (plus i'll need to find a tyre which will be an extra £30 or so?
Moral dilemma, particularly as i've verbally agreed to take the ultegra/mavic.
Views?
