if i have a big block of land and there are chickens wandering around on it pecking happily away at stuff, occasionally dropping eggs (as they naturally do), i don't understand the moral problem in eating these dropped eggs. otherwise they're going to waste, which creates its own moral problems in the carbon-reduced overpopulated future that is edging closer. even chickens don't have a moral problem eating eggs, if you drop one and it breaks they're usually all over it.
