macintosh user apparenty, limited choice of MP3 player with itunes as far as I know.

It's quite clever, but I agree, the fact you need to stick with the awful supplied earphones is a BIG drawback. Don't know why they couldn't have stuck with a separate inline controller like on the old iPods instead of having it built in to the headphones.

drawback for those with disabilities too.
