That's 20 batteries delivered for £2.73.
Saves an awful lot of fucking around too.

Obviously getting them from the best value supplier is key- so anyone who knows of a better deal than the ones mentioned please speak up.
Question is- are people happy to order in batches of 20 on their own from the site that BMMF found, or is there any interest in getting 200 or so and dividing them up?

I've emailed consumableitems.co.uk to see if they will price match 13p delivered.

This credit crunch has made everyone very frugle.
I do however believe that saving pennies on batteries is not the best way to tackle the financial crisis, if you have one less pint this week it would pay for the batteries, if you have one less pint this year it will pay for the difference between the cost of the batteries from DX and the cost of the batteries from the 13p supplier.
Also, if time costs money we've wasted a bundle.

Well, if they price match then it's the best of both worlds.
It would, I agree, be better to get something from a recognized manufacturor, and also better I think to get something from a UK company just in case the box arrives full of chickens rather than batteries.

I'm going to have one less pint AND buy these batteries - big save!
@Dammit - I'd say go for the 200 batteries and then they'll divide up to the people who want them. What's the quote for 200 inc. postage?
£47.73 including VAT, or £0.24 per battery.
Entertainingly to buy 200 from Evans would cost £380

One less pint? That's fucking mentalist talk. No wonder the world's fucked. ;)

OK. I've taken myself off this list. Ordering them from DX sounds like an easier (and cheaper) option. Nice one for trying to organise this though Dammit. I would still be paying £3 for 2 from Evans!

I'll take some batteries if anyone has some lights they want to sell me. Lost the rears catseyes as they got run over by three taxis in a row (they survived the first two) and then my front light turned out not to be water resistant and has now died.
blimey are you lot stupid??
*please re-read above.
derrrr!!
