• i came by this frame from a old boy who bought in the early 1950's, he bought from a club member who brought it back from france in the 1940's.the guy was in his 70's and rode it fixed from the 50's onwards.

    beautifully detailed lugs, nice enameled badge, not sure if this in original as it's in english but it's bloody old and says sterling special.

    the frame is very tight, 56cm top tube, 56 seat tube, the old boy said it was a 74 degree steerer if that makes sense.

    the frame is nice and light,very straight, no dings etc and as excellent paintwork,

    track ends.
    fluted rear triangle.

    it comes with the bottom bracket which is philips, philips are an old school british bike part company, and a shimano 600 headset.

  • there ddoesn't look like there is enough thread for the (missing)lockring on the forks. they are a very high stack.

  • i did'nt fit the forks properly as i will have to dismantle to post.it's just for photo. the forks go all the way through and and i have the shimano top nut.no problem

  • how low can you go posted because thats a bit much for me as a student would you take £130

    it will go to a good home where it will be kept indoors :) or i can collect depending on where you are
