DA cog on a Campag Record Pista

Posted on
  • I bought an old pair of Campag Record pista hubs the other day, and while i was about to fit a new Phil lockring, I noticed the cog which came on them is a Dura Ace - I was under the impression this should not work (Campag, Phil, Miche fitment only)

    Has it been bodged on?

  • im no expert, but isnt the lockrng thread the only one to watch out for, and the cog thread is standard for all ?

  • Yeah - I hope this is the case!

  • yeah i think that should be fine, sprockets are to my knowledge universal, lockrings aren't

  • I have campags, with DA cogs. All good, cog threads are universal.

Lockring threads differ. Campag/Miche/Phil wood/Maillard all one sort, so interchangable.

Then Duraace/Formula/Goldtech/Grandcomp/etc use the other type.

  • +1.
