If you want to go Italian and a bit more 'period', try Nigel Scott at Campyoldy in Wimborne.
He's got stacks of NOS Campagnolo goodness (including loads of rims) although when I was last there a couple of weeks ago he was doing very brisk business selling lots of it to the States (crap £ and all that), so I don't know how long his stock will last!
If you want to get new, I found Shiny Bikes to have the best prices at the moment. I picked up a Campy Veloce one for £321 (although I see it's gone up already).
Whilst the older gruppos are nicer in appearance, a new silver Campy 'set looks nicer, to my eyes than the grey finish on some of the new Shimano ones (and anyway, Eddy used Campy!).
Whatever you decide, I wouldn't hang about, the prices are already going up and they're going to increase even further this year!
