Rudy/ Muttley (about 4 I guess)- Family Dog yellow thing (no idea what but greyhound fast)- kill count:
1 deer
3 rabbits
3 birds
6/7 squirrels
George- 12 Black lab- My dog- had since I was 10.
Old, docile and a true gent.
behaves more like a cat than a dog.
On another note, when I grow up I'm definitely getting a retired greyhound.
those things are nuts!
(mainly due to going to a friends birthday thing at the dogtrack here, and actually coming away with some winnings)
and then reminding myself what a ridiculous thing dog racing is.
More so when my friend, a physiologist, told me that the noise that dogs make after extreme physical exertion is caused by the fact that the dogs' hearts are being stressed beyond their failure level, and so are actually failing at that point in time.
Evolutions design for the dogs respiratory system is that they exceed that level and then recover rapidly, making them extraordinary runners.
