Geared road bike I built (second build ever, first geared build) for my Dad for his birthday on tuesday. Apart from the wheels and BB installation, everything was assembled by me. Before and after pics attached.
Thanks go to alockett, dogsballs, El Diablo, hellomiles, mr_tom (super thanks) George Sportif, andypancake and Bob's bikes (my LBS in Walworth).
(also I know that front light is ugly and huge)

Not keen on the bars. Otherwise it looks nice.
Where did you get the reflective frame tube stickers?

I'm sure it's gone to market now (i.e. can be bought retail) I've got the link in my work email inbox somewhere...

yup, thats where I got the idea altho i saw it on the instructables site. i got a 61cm x 1m roll from http://www.williamsmith.co.uk/ for £38.25 incl postage. Used half on bike, some on Dad's helmet and most of the rest on my bike, helmet and bag.
@tallsam: bar colours or shape? that shade of green was the best I could get (probs should have gone for black but anyhoo) and the bullhorns exist to cater for my Dads rather long reach (bike is 58.5cm c-c with an extra 30cm of handlebar and stem and he still needs the seat all the way back)

36/14!! Your legs must be spinning constantly to get anywhere fast. (altho admittedly i don't know you so you probably have a justification for choosing that)

my last bike had a 52/16 and it flexed so much everytime i tried to give it some.
i fancied something a little easier. -

36/14 gives 68 gear inches. That is not low, I ride one inch higher and can cruise along at 20mph.

It's the mudguard mount on my George Longstaff touring frame. I took a pic of it because I'd never seen something like that before and thought I'd post it up.
The whole bike has lots of cool features.

hmm, stuck a saddle and some bars on just to see what it looks like.. Saddle is (more or less) at the right height for me, baring in mind the low BB. Only 10cm clearance with 170 cranks!! that's like 3.5 less than I have on my langster... doubt it'll be much of an issue. But, this frame looks pretty small..? It'll have pursuit bars on the final build.

don't get bored of the langster.

u riding a 42/16? i ride 46/15 (80.6 gear inches) so 68 inches feels low to me. but everyone has different requirements and abilities.

fred that katana loos amazing, (imo would look better if both rims were machined). also does the seatpost give any mechanical benefit?

Well, I've been wrong before, but I don't think the sirius will displace the langster. :)

The cowboy hat? Yeah.. sure you can see why I need a new one. Actually that's my american friend Spencer's. He's abandoned it in our house. I'm wearing it right now actually! :D

You should get some white tyres, they would look sweet on that ;-)
Looks nice.
at that gearing, you won't even need to be strapped in to skid-stop.
