  • very moving, especially when friends and family were clapping us through the traffic lights and thanking us...

  • just like to echo the comments above realy, very moving ride great to see some many bikes and riders out in force

  • Late and missed the 'official' ride but good day out and good to put some more names to faces

Also noticed a lot of idiot drivers beeping today - STFU!

Were you there mate? Was looking forward to meeting you so we could continue our footie discussion in person ;)

It was a nice day, if that is the right word

  • Apparently we were on ITV news!

  • Pics please.

  • As someone said earlier if you have pics on flickr please tag them "eilidhmemorialride".

  • We couldn't find any results tagged with eilidhmemorialride.

            We give up!

  • Might be a bit early dingy.

  • Yep, there was a cameraman and presenter at the start. The presenter was ambushing people with a "Hi, we're from London Tonight..."

So, erm, I guess it will be on London Tonight? I don't have a TV, so not too sure what that is.

Apparently we were on ITV news!

  • Great weather for the ride! It was quite moving - I had a tear in my eye as we passed the memorial at the end.

@ the guy who lent me an inner tube at the start - thanks so much! PM me so we can meet for me to repay you? Lost you in the crowd and didn't see you at the finish. Anyone know this guy's name? Had a bright green eastpak rucksack on (shitty description; that's all I really remember). I was the idiot doing a rush job on patching the rear wheel of my bianchi pista. Lifesaver.

no problem matty - what comes around goes around.

  • beautiful I have no other words. I shall post up images later tonight

  • a bittersweet day for all.
much respect to all the organizers especially Ray & Pip. It went without a hitch, and really shows what the forum is capable of these days.
all our support to eilidh's family and friends.
i hope she would have enjoyed it.

  • A really great ride.

Big up the organisers - it was impressive to see the outriders patiently explaining to all the motorists we held up why they were having to wait. It was cool to see passing peds asking 'what it was all about'. And very cool to see Eilidh's family & friends clapping as we arrived at our destination.

And obviously 200 of us RLJing Marylebone Rd / Baker St was an added bonus.

  • I'm only going to be repeating everyone else on here, but what a great ride. Terrific to see so many people riding together. Massive respect to be paid to the organizers and to Eilidh's family and friends.

  • Good to see so many people come together to celebrate and rememember a life cut short.

Found it very moving at the end as we were clapped by friends and family.

    Ride safe everyone...

  • Was a nice ride… then a car ran over my rear wheel. err

Ray saved the day… (almost) for calming the situation and straightening the rim.
unfortunately i need a new rear.

  • Arrived late at the finish point, didn't get a chance to buy a flower, but I'll come back soon and fix this. Great to see so many people and community vibes. Shame I didn't know anyone. First ride (sort of) with LFGSS crew. Big up!
