IMO to have to plan all those sequences out make it a bit shit. i reckon a most people could blitz through hairy traffic if it was in a sequence you knew. what makes riding fun is the unpredictability of cars and the focus you have to go into to keep yourself at speed and upright on the bike and yourself from getting knocked the fuck out.
i like riding like a boy racer, thats the whole appeal of riding a track bike.
for me it doesn't beat the west end at rush hour
