I'll keep an eye out adam, bad luck.

Get yourself down to Bricklane for Sunday, make sure to have the Market Officers phone numbers with you.
-
• #29
so far can't find anything in gumtree.

here's adam, on his bike, thats the best photo i've got of it for any spotting help.
-
• #31
Yes Adam,
That is definitely the bike I saw today, 100%....
Good luck for a safe return.
The Crane - thanks. As a Rasta we see with Far - i's.
At your service folks,

Total bastard.
There should be public lynching for bike thieves from the arches on Brick Lane all day Sunday.
-
• #33
Stocks made of old bicycle frames, and a large pile of over-ripe fruit and veg?
-
• #34
Bars are different now though I think.
Not sure how this is helpful, but Adam asked me to post these up -
It's particularly frustrating because as far as I know the bike has never been locked up with a cable like this. I think we all assumed the stables at Chelsea are pretty safe but apparently not.
I'll be on the lookout on bumtree and ebay over the weekend Adam, but to be honest it looks like they went straight for the easiest track bike so my guess is it will go east to Brick Lane.

i'm out and about tonight so will keep my eyes peeled.

I'm really sorry Adam.
I didn't know what to do or say. Sorry I just stood their like a right dick head when you discovered. I was genuinely shocked.I'm keeping an eye out.
I work on Sclater St on Sunday, and I'll keep an eye out for ya.Fingers crossed you get that back buddy.
I thought that the stables at school were as safe as houses. Apparently not.Again shit, and I'm sorry for my complete lack of help earlier.

Shed of Stolen Tools -> Old, rusty steel implements -> Bike-thief death by flaying, pour encourager les autres to do something less fucking maddening.
-

I can't believe this, I go to Chelsea as well. I thought it was relatively safe (I even left my bike there with only the wheel locked to the frame by accident and it was fine)
I will defiantly keep an eye out since I don't live to far away. I'll probably be in Brick Lane on Sunday so I'll keep them peeled.

Indeed. Everyone can join the queue that feels like it.

I used to work in Pimlico, on Sussex street and you would see gangs of youths from the Churchil Estate, walking round with bolt cutters - there was a bike rack opposite my office, and we spotted a bike being lifted, shouted at them to stop and called the Police but they just told us to fuck off and kept at it - there were too many of them for us to intervene, and they only scarpered when the police drew up by them, where upon they legged it on the bikes they had stolen

seems like the person knew exactly what they were doing though, and presumably would have to have been confident at riding fixed, i'd assume random kids wouldn't have been able to get away so speedily.
maybe they'd have had dans freewheel purgeot instead if that was the case?
-
• #42
Yeah they were definitely scoping out the track bikes. I think it's quite probable that they assumed there would be some outside an art college and came prepared.
-
• #43
from the pictures of the cctv looks like they had scoped that bike before as they went straight for it and came on a day when it wasnt locked well enough. really hope you get it back mate, if im back on sunday ill come have a look in brick lane.
-
• #44
That really sucks man, I hope it comes back.
I was looking at that dolan the other day locked up with a cable, I thought, shit that is not a nice way to leave your bike.
From experience, Ive had my bike locked up Chelsea with a d lock, and it got cut, along with 7 others that day!! Luckily, security saw the guys and ran up and caught them half way through my lock, and managed to save my bike.
Talk to the guys at the gate house, they will help you out, and hopefully have some info.
For everyones information. Chelsea is definitely is not a safe haven for locking your bike.

Eyes are peeled and am spreading the word to other Southies.

Cheers for all the help everyone. I really appreciate it.
I'm gonna be heading down to bricklane market early sunday morning, i anyone wants to come scour with me that would be amazing. Fucking gutted, I am serious about the reward, knock the fucker of and pedal away, that'll be £50 in your pocket.
Again cheers everyone.

Hey Adam, nice to meet you briefly today albeit under wank circumstances - good luck with the search. Have faith cos it's surprising how many stolen bikes turn up, especially as there's a massive cycle network of people constantly helping people to reclaim stolen bikes - this forum is a constant 'eyes and ears'
-
• #48
damn, good luck adam, hope you get it back.
-
• #49
