Thing that irritates me about cycling to work is how the squaw do you keep a shirt flat in your satchel? Trousers work fine but shirts come out making you look like a domestic incompetent. Someone needs to invent a device that you can pack an ironed shirt into and then put it into a satchel. How hard can that be?
In the meantime, anyone got any clever ideas for avoiding bag-related creases?
Knock off this idea.

I cycle to work because I have to get home fast to feed my dog and thats the quickest way, plus it keeps me a little bit fitter

This insight into your life is really rather endearing.

Its possible to fold an ironed shirt to about A4 size without it looking messy when you unfold it. I can do it, my girlfriend used to work in a posh clothes shop which is where she learnt it, and then told me.
I can't just tell you though, its like secret code, I'd have to kill you.
Ask a girl in a posh clothes shop to show you. It is possible.

So that she then has to kill you???

Stop falling in love with men off the internet, you know what happened last time.

I apologise for my lack of humour, My computer is being repaired and I am using a laptop which takes all of concentration to type a very minimal and basic sentence
I asked my gf to tell me something that made me happy and angry at the same time:
she said, "your dick is bigger than your dads"
that only took 3 hours to type

Eagle Creek Pack-It folder from Itchy Feet on Wardour Street.
Comes with folding board as standard issue like Benetton shops in the 80's

What you need is a slightly damp shirt (a gardening water spray works fine). Your body heat will de-crease the shirt while drying it.

I got me a dry cleaners beside work, £1.30 a shirt cleaned and ironed on a hanger, it would cost £6.50 a week but I only get suited for external meetings, Fridays are dress down and I now work abroad a fair bit. (Which taught me that it's possible to pack a shirt, but it's still looks like shit - hanging a shirt beside the shower or using a hairdryer to get rid of creases works, as does easy-care shirts, but you still look lik a cnut)

I take a few shirts to work on the weekend or if I drive in, so there's always a couple on hangers i n the office.

Does anyone else have to lock their bike outside at work?
I did before, never again, it will be a condition of my employment if I am brave enough, or I guess I will be forced onto public transport.

Used to lock my bike outside at work, now I don't have to. We have a spiffy cycle area. Woo. As for shirts and so forth, I'm a graphic designer, I wear t-shirts. If I had to wear a shirt to work I'd probably quit.
