Touch-up Paint

Anyone know where I can get a custom colour of touchup paint for ? I would buy the stuff in halfords (£10 for primer, paint & laquer), but they don't have the right colour. This is the colour, a.k.a. "more purple than purple itself". The bit below the badge is what it looks like to the naked eye indoors, or the bit above is what it looks like in sunlight/camera flash.

I sent an email to Mercian with the pic above but the response I got was "dunno if it's that colour".

Edit: Come to think of it, if you look at my avatar... it's like the purple at the top of that except a fair bit darker.

Do Halfords or car body repair shops not have a colour matching machine?

Halfords don't, your best bet for a cheap one is probably to find a ral or the original colour of the paint and match it to a car manufacturers colour as best you can, then go to one of that company's dealers and ask for a touch up can, they'll sell you one... BMW do a dark blue that's very similar

i thought some halfords shops can match the colour specifically. try giving Stockwell Motors a ring to see if they've got any touch-up paint available.

I would go the route of buying Humbrol model paint and colouriser from a normal paint shop and experiment. Oddly I seem to remember blue base with brown and black make purple.
