Removing Keirin Grips

  • I put some Soyos onto a set of risers I got from a forumenger and I've now realised that although they were chopped down. They weren't chopped down enough. I'm giong to leave it for now but eventually I'll be wanting to take the grips off to chop the bars further.

Does anyone have any tips or is it:

  • its a piece of piss getting them off just roll them off. i have champs, but they cant be that bifferent

  • Like TheCrane said just roll them off, reverse jonny technique.

When you get to the last centimeter try and wriggle the remainder off, if it rolls all the way and goes inside out it can be a real pig to sort them out.

  • reverse jonny FTW.

  • It'd be a fucking nightmare chopping the bars down with scissors anyway!

    +1 these work better

  • hahahaha

nah...they'd never fit in the stem, and both your grips would be on the same side!

    +1 :d

  • open up a coat hanger, slide in give it a squirt of wd40, wiggle coathanger, pull off.

I'm confused, is that for removing grips or a condom? ;p

  • works for either

  • They're quite tight on the bars so I think I'll have to go for the rolling method. Thanks for all the advice.
