Swrve Milwaulkee Softshell 3000 or GoreTex?

The product description on their site is confusing. As they call the fabric Gore-Tex, but what they actually describe is Gore Windstopper?

The Softshell 3000 is 4 way stretch so will give you greater freedom of movement. If you want an everyday jacket I'd go Softshell 3000.

Exactly, found the description on the site a little strange.
Was tempted by the GoreTex simply because of GoreTex's properties and capabilities.
Was wondering whether it was overkill for the weather that we experience.
