Softshell 3000 felt lighter and more flexible, when I ride it with a t-shirt underneath it, I didn't really feel the burden of the hoodies at all, just feel like I'm wearing a long sleeve t-shirt.
It's waterproof enough if you're worried about it (went through 11 miles on heavy rain in the middle of the night and still end up dry).
