  • the difference is minimal, allegedly between a radial and a x3 wheel.
0.4 mm is what Mike Burrows measured it as.

    The different is IMMENSE !

I say so because I recently changed my lightweight radial wheel for a touring 2x one.

I was shocked by how different it felt, my frame/forks is very stiff so riding with the radial was at times brutal. The 2x feels load better, combined with the new grippier tyre I can actually feel the wheel flex around tight turns.

He said his bike is aluminium so its probably a modern bike. So it may well have very low spoke count. Im not sure how this affects feel. But im guessing itd be stiffer to to much higher spoke tension.
