The roads they are referring to in this article are a regular haunt of mine. Scary stuff. So three and a half years for mowing down some poor bloke, then being so pissed as to not notice HE HAS HIT YOUR WINDSCREEN??? The judges always give these fuckers the benefit of the doubt. It makes me sick...

I don't want to sound all daily mail, but WTF!
They get tanked up, kill somone, hide the evidence and then get let off for good behaviour for fessing up AFTER they'd been caught?
Fantastic precedent, sorry to say it chaps/chapesess, we are fair game and our lives are a two year driving ban

"The Appeal Court heard Chandler attempted to cover up damage to his car in the accident. He also escaped to Wales the following day to avoid being breathalysed."
Even if he was too pissed to know.. he still tried his best to cover his tracks. Fucking cunt.

I often wonder if I'm the same species as some people.
Discarding the punishment, where's the deterrent to other apes? It really does defy belief. Would the family of the cyclist be able to appeal against that decision? His original term was lax enough, and why don't they dish out life time driving bans for such retarded behaviour?
"Hey, don't you drive?"
"No, I kill people when I do and don't even notice and when I'm caught I'm a turd about it."

One thing I don't understand is why would he try to cover it up, if he didn't know?

The worrying part of this is not the fact that he had his sentence reduced by a year, but that he will be allowed back on the roads.

Yeah I did type a massive reply about that but decided not to post in the end. I don't think the prison sentence is the issue here, in my opinion he should have his license permanently revoked.
