  • Baise Moi, its got it all, drug use, gang rape, copious amounts of pointless violence, hardcore porn scenes, menstruation...
And il give Irreversible a 2nd vote, watching the rape scene was the 1st time i'd ever felt physically affected (sick) by a film.
Salo is alright but its a bit pointless, you keep thinking its gonna get good n there's gonna be some proper fucking etc but it never arrives.
Man Bites Dog is quite funny in places and mildly disturbing in others.
Delicassen and City of Lost Children are both really good. Very stylish and with good story lines.
Anatomy of Hell if your into hairy armpits and periods.

I can't believe you put Irreversible after Baise Moi! Irreversible, quite apart from being a bit disturbing and violent, was actually a 'proper' film. Baise moi, on the other hand, was a pretty poor hashing together of 'graphic scenes of a sexual nature' and was pretty much sold on that basis. Boring as hell IMO.

"drug use"? Is that really a selling point for a film? If i wanted to see drug use I could see it for real just by hanging out in pretty much any underground carpark at this time of year and not have to feel bad about the fact that I will never get the 77 minutes i wasted watching Baise Moi back.

    ...er, IMO
