Each to their own, if you want a quill stem which isn't decidely retro then that is just the ticket. Also looks like with the way the clamp closes you can swap out bars easily as well, rather than having to buy two stems.
If I'd seen them before I'd bought the stems i have for the track bike I would have purchased a pair, only thing is they feel abit pricey at like forty/fifty quid...
