For Sale: 50's/60's Parkes track frame & forks.

I recently sold this on ebay. I made the mistake of checking clearances with tubs. Listed it as being for 700c, it's actually for 27". So it's now back up for sale. Thought I'd offer it up here before it ends up going back on the bay. It sold for £230 plus postage. I'd be happy to take £200 including postage for a quick sale.

Parkes of Birmingham.
Beautifully refinished in metallic burgundy.
Original chrome on the fork ends and rear stays.
Most probably 531. It's light.
Front drilled for brake.
Seat tube center to top-59cm.
Top tube center to center 59.5cm.

it's nice... pitty I don't have the cash... would look great with the old Campagnolo Pista groupset I have waiting...

That is a lovely frame, if only it was a little smaller I'd be all over it.

how annoying that I've just bought a similar-period track frame to do up - this would be a good size for me and without the hassle of arranging a re-spray.

thanks, but no good for me unless he does the posting-it-there-and-back thing because I'm very firmly rooted to the capital. will have to look into the usual colourtech/vaz etc options, unless anyone can suggest somone good (and cheap!) for paintjobs in London.
