Wanted: Black 36h rear hub

Posted on
  • as title, I'm after a black 36h rear hub, sealed bearings.
considering anything not too expensive, possibly new/new-ish..
checked around the interweb but found just silver 36h, on-one was an option but 36 are silver only, formula seem to come only 32h... found some system ex but silver only...

down the bottom, formula hubs in 36 hole, black.

  • cheers for the suggestion but Paul sells only the set front + rear...
    any other tip??
or anybody needs a front and we can split the set??

  • checked but no luck.. black 32h or silver 36 fix-free....

  • dia compe in 32s or 36's

  • oh, not from the link on the list..I'll check it! thanks

  • They are on there. BLB stock them and I think Winstanley have them slightly cheaper online

  • cool, thanks, found them on Winstanley, do you have any experience with this hubs?
I've never seen/rode them...they look good with a nice high and solid flange...
I'd lace it to rigida dp18 and use the wheel for tricks...

  • Dont know.... they are well regarded i gather, I think im about to buy one. Having said that you get a set of formula for the same money

  • I might go for it as well...they look nicer than formula-on one-system ex, I mean made with more accuracy, they probably roll on the same bearings I guess..

  • They dont have the same bearings. The gran compe is superior bearings Im told. I dont know if i could personally tell the difference. You could put nice bearings in the Formulas. Im currently having this debate with myself!

  • But yeah, look LOADS nicer

  • probably you could tell the difference in terms of durability...at least.. and I like the solid flange...should be definitely stronger...I would also bet they are made of a better aluminum?!

  • I have outlasted my usefulness. Smarter people on here than me. Im gonna go and talk about ponies or something.

  • get grande compe marcoooo

  • I already have 2 rigida dp18 on the way and a front bmx hub...missing spokes and rear hub and I'll be able again to ride straight...
    probably for a short time...
    ;-)
