Oh, well, forget it then.

They will do a discount for over 5 jobs though!
do a search for threads on armourtex - you'll find one I started - there were a few people interested, so you might be able to get a group together and get a discount!!

I have just decided not to powdercoat something, but go the enamel route instead. But I was thinking about Burgundy.
I might be persuaded if you need that fifth frame. It'd have to be a really dark burgundy though.

Skully - doesn't matter about the colour etc............ you can have what you want!! This was only a verbal promise at the time though!!

I'm going to investigate and post back to you.

A few of us were intending to get a pearlescent white Hobo was organising it...

they do the strip back n all right?
how much per person then?
-

I may be interested in a dark burgundy. But I would also want a few things done to the frame first, so it wouldn't be straight away.

Shit, I forgot to phone them today. Anybody know how something about this discount?
I spoke to them last week and the price for one frame (shotblasting and one layer of powder) is £49. Glossy finish is £15 and metallic £17.
I will be honest, if the discount is less than £20 per frame I won't bother organising a collective one. But if it is could those who are interested add themselves to this list?

2 questions.
- How long would I be without my bike for?
- Do I strip it down first, because I have no fricken clue how to take a BB or headset out.
I am interested though because my bike would look ace with a decent layer of paint on it.

- They have a 2-3 day turn over.
- Yes.
Gonna ring tomorrow morning about whether they'll do a discount for 3 frames. Doubtful though.

Right, I have just phoned them and there isn't going to be a discount for different colours. They will have to be the same colour. Therefore, I'm out. Sorry guys.
Just for future reference: Price for one frame (shotblasting and one layer of powder) is £49. Glossy finish is £15 and metallic £17.

Going to powder coat a frame at Armourtex. They are charging per frame now but Jamesay said below that there is a group discount and apparently the colour doesn't matter. I will need to confirm this a will let you know tomorrow morning.
Price without discount: I spoke to them last week and the price for one frame (shotblasting and one layer of powder) is £49. Glossy finish is £15 and metallic £17
Damn, this has gone up substantially - £40 for blast and powder last time I asked...
