  • that really is tight! literally.
one of the best/cleanest builds ive seen in a long time

  • Personally I'd have stuck with the drops and black/silver rims but it still looks nice

  • Bit too tight, but still an amazing bike.

  • Damn, was just about to post that pic. Not too tight Ross, it's jussssst right!

  • GIve it a millimetre or two and it'll be fine, well comfortable, but it still needs to be tight.

  • Never!!

  • to be honest if a tiny little stone sticks to the tyre and it keeps on spinning with the wheel that will damage the paint job if not stop your rear wheel a bit too. You need ultra true wheels for that too and carefully pumped up innertube :)

  • RIght lets settle this with a deathmatch.

But the bike could definitely wear a pear of nice drops very nicely.

    Right, now wheres my battle-axe...

  • Man, there are so many beautiful bikes out that when ever I think I know what I want I get inspiration form someone else and then I'm back to square one again. The white one that Tallsam has posted photo's of is just gorgeous!

  • maybe repost? I like everything about this

Hopefully my old Marin Hawk Hill will end up something similar. Yeah it is damn nice.

  • dmczone's

    sexy bike, defo porn!

IMO nicest build on ive seen from any forumenger

the frame is exquisite and the clearances are perfect

    Congratulations DMCzone

  • milwaukee or bens cycles get custom 48h drilled deep v's, dt has some touring rims in 48h

Friend just got some velocity deep v's in 48h. Dunno if it was a custom drill tho.

Bracken = pine forest = fire/logging roads. That bike would be the biz as a fire road blaster somewhere like Swinley, and a great tow path bike too.

  • the paint on the courage is so nice

+1,would also turn it's hand nicely to a bit of single speed cross, and general trail riding.oh maybe just having fun riding.....!

Pure dirt, porn of the highest calibre.
    But what is it?

    Toodle pip

+2. That sort of bike is just made for places like the New Forest. Fast fire roads and single track but no actual 'mountain bike' type stuff. The gearing looks stupidly low though doesn't it?

  • i like the singular bike visually but im not sure i would actually ride it if i owned it. im not really sold on SS for offroad stuff.

IMHO that perachinni is tantamount to puppy killing. why ruin a lovely track bike with crap bars and tacky wheels. i think the old black rims with skinwalls looked ace, and ill never understand why people would put flat bars on a track bike, its like putting offroad tires on a 911. its an old argument, i wouldnt bother if it wasnt such a nice bike to start with.

  • Rest assured.

The Peracinni will be sporting proper Cinelli drops when racing begins next month at Herne Hill.

The original wheels and tires are light weight and track specific so not suitable for London streets.

Added a little vintage 70's tied & soldered bling in the meantime.

    It's good to have variety.

  • Nice.

  • Thanks, it feels good to make the Bike Porn thread.

Put those big drops back on!!!

The transition bar tape is rocks my world

Seriously, every time i hear a comment like this, i am instantly reminded of Jeremy Clarkson's "Ferrari Owners Club" impression. No youtube link found unfortunately.

  • A few photos of my Surly Cross Check, in the Gravy Brown colour, when I was thinking of buying this bike I couldn't find pictures of the colour, so hope this may be of use to potential Surly owners. i bought the frame and built it up from mainly bits I had, bits from ebay, and a new set of wheels from SJS Cycles in Bridgewater.
    Surly Cross Check
    Mavic 319 rims Deore hubs,
    Cassette 11-34 deore
Rear mech XT, Front mech tiagra
    Chainset Trulativ 50-39-20
    Shifters Deore trigger
    BraKes Promax 'V'
Seat just one I had, a Brooks B17 is the preferred option.
    Mudguards on order.
    Bontrager Riser bars
I built this bike for commuting and general riding to save my Orange P7 for the mountains
