Had to go to see the accountants today at my ex work - got an email the other day along the lines of 'you still owe us £1,100 in expenses and we're not paying you your final wage, holiday pay and bonuses unless you pay up'
Just spent 3hrs with 2 Italian accountants and 9 months of expenses and receipts(that I'd kept and photocpied and monitored intensely) and it seems that they actually owe me £300!

I just got a job today.

Its been so long, Im kind melancholic about it!

But pretty chuffed. Shall have some money to blow and a hefty staff discount.

Its so ironic, wouldve practically been my dream job a couple years ago.

I always used to want to work in a shop, especially a flashy chain one with big discounts, and fix bikes.

Ive also recently for the past few months been absolutley desperate for any job. (I was applying for some pretty rough things)

But now, tbh - I feel a little old to be starting out in the totally unlucrative bike trade. Im kind of sick of fixing bikes too, Id rather ride them!

What I am chuffed about though is finally having some bloody income! Its hard times, any jobs are good. And I will have money to blow on bikes, travelling and random shenanigans. Its gonna rock.

Its really rare for me to have even got an interview as I have NO checkable references or any non casual jobs. But I was a bit shocked to find out that I was the BEST candidate.

The staff induction sounds radical too. 3 day residential, MTB & Road bike building AND riding!

I set my bike up as SS over the weekend in anticipation of some distance riding.

Stuck a flashy new ultegra dual pivot on the back but still have a 70's campag with dissolved pads on the front.

I swear its a winning combination! (I know it wouldnt suit most though)

I've got a new bike.

It's shiny. And faster than milk.

Ive quite possibly got a little flying scot up my sleeve and in the bag in the next week or so.... ooooooo... so excited !!!

Had a fab week of swimming.... the plateau has moved on !

Just finished an exam..

Was riding through town, pulled up at some lights and a cabbie leant out of his window and said "that looks super light that bike." He was positively beaming and has made my day slightly more enjoyable.

Last 2 weeks until my deadline - had my lecturer go over my work today and lots of positive feedback. Which is nice. How did your exam go then? and how many more?

this exam was pretty good, one of my preferred subjects so I was comfortable. I have five more, one in two weeks and then a few days later I have four exams in four days which will not be fun in the slightest unfortunately :(

spent the day plodding around the west end shopping and trend watching, and came home to vic and some delicious macaroons! ah. feet up for a bt then out for a guiness. swwweeeeeeet.

I hate this thread. It's the opposite of schadenfreude and I loath it. I never get anything right and this thread makes me jealous.

Last night I got kicked out of a models bed for calling her a mess (in jest) and she took it really badly. Fucking fail.
