Why the fuck?
They are pretty cack. Can't skid on 'em, scary as shit in the wet = no good.
I haven't had any problems with the wet and slipping personally and i've been out in some proper gash conditions...
One of my other bikes is a rigid MTB set up for dirt/street so the twin rail is perfect for the back tyre - low rolling resistance and good cornering. Also got a pair of twin rails on my wild wacky action bike for leaving in public places and not worrying about it getting nicked. never had a problem with slipping out on those either - even been riding on the sidewalls on some *really *tight corners...
