  • There's a very wealthy club down the road what might be in the market for a new manager in a bit..........

  • As soon as I saw Lucas in the starting line up, I knew we would not win. Why doesn't he just play me instead?

  • goin to watch the arsenal vs roma match 2morro at the emirates :D

  • Yup, I'll bet Jose would love to go to a club with an uncertain future over it's ownership and a restricted budget for the foreseeable future. And a huge squad conisisting mainly of some pretty average players, all held together by 3 or 4 great players.

I think the possibility of brining the first title in 20 years, on a limited budget and the ensuing adoration from fans would be too much of an opportunity for his ego to turn down. If he really is as great as he says he is, he would probably like the chance to win the league with an average team than buy the league, like he did at Chelsea

  • He's won the champions league and the Portugese league with no money, so he's already chalked those of his list.

  • +1
I think he proved 'how great he is' before he got to chelsea.

  • So, on that premise. Raffa is also a great manager. Having won the title with Valencia on a limited budget (twice ) and the Champions League?

He's won the champions league and the Portugese league with no money, so he's already chalked those of his list.

  • Surely the hallmark of a great manager is to win the League in more than one country plus at least one Champions League title?

So in the great category we'd have Ferguson and Mourinho. In the good but not quite great category we'd have Benitez and Wenger.

  • I don't recall saying he wasn't, its just not working for him at liverpool. I don't think that foreign managers are used to the constant media/fan harrasment in the UK, it appears to be worse than the rest of europe (I could be wrong).
I think as has been mentioned before that Liverpool as a club/businees needs to be sorted out before you can see any stability on the pitch, this could be said for alot of clubs Newcastle and Chelsea to name but two.

  • the special one would do it at liverpool. its a team where he can make himself a legend. Chelsea was for the money and a chance to build a team. Liverpool doesn't have the politics, thats just rafa!

  • don't believe mourinho will leave inter until they win the champions league, it was what he was bought in for. Also he maybe in the running for the real madrid job, if they don't give it to juande ramos, whose showing what a good manager he is with them, seeing as they just thumped Real Betis 6-1 on the weekend. Personally I hope Juande shoves levy and redknapps face in it when real play liverpool.
Liverpool fans I'd be worried, Real look a threat going forward and have tightened up at the back, so it won't be as easy as it was looking before Juande took charge...

ps. the mighty spurs playing hull tonight, so won't be as talkative as I usually am down at souths...

pps. gotti looks like my plans to watch the carling cup live and in person are coming to nought, so up for watching the match with youse and shootthebreeze. Where's looking like the best place?

  • Until we sold to the Americans and the internal war with Rafa. Liverpool were Heralded, alongside Arsenal and a few others, as one of the best run clubs in the Premier League. It is only recently that all this nonsense has started, whether it be because of the Yanks, raffa or a combination, that remains to be seen. One thing I think is for sure, is that something will give and sooner rather than later

O'neils Musswell Hill. Huge pub. I watched the final there last year. So many Spurs fans. Bit of a treck for you but worth it.

  • got to get the hill climbing in anyway, oneil's muswell hill it is...

  • Seems the bbc can predict the future

'But the 28-year-old took part in training on Tuesday morning'

Either way, I still believe we will wipe the floor with Rael, just like I believed we would not beat city

its too big a club for it not to be righted., we might look weak at the moment bu Arsenal could be deeper in the mire if the board changes the way its been threatening

nice, I'll be at the emirates this weekend following my beloved and not-so-mighty whites.

If you get rid of Wenger and stick to your not spending pollecy then you are fucked.

    And Parry. Thoroughbred dick.

  • may i take this opportunity to wish mourihno and his mob all the very best for this evening

  • Come on Spurs. Good(ish) and much needed win last night. I am getting nervous about the cup final already.

  • may i take this opportunity to wish mourihno and his mob all the very best for this evening

For sure. I will be cheering them on. Referees aren't so pro-scum in Europe, thats why it took them so long to win it. So hopefully they will get a pasting

Seconded, and hopefully will be coming to Manchester on a more permanent basis in June/July.
