.... what's wrong with Ourys? (tone of voice here is not abrupt and confrontational but politely, probingly inquisitive: picture my slightly arched left eyebrow, quizzically pursed lips), I've noticed Ourys have come to be regarded as a bit 'last season' and that champs are, er, champ. I think now, however, the time for a renaissance of the Oury is nigh, and in this case I think they complement the vivalo's cyber-tech stylings very well. Plus, they're grippier than champs and I've got ourys on my bikes and i'm damned if i'm changing them. It's not fair.
Absolutely nothing wrong with Oury's - on the right bike. I have a pair on my Concept but they seem to work as the bike is oversized(frame, risers etc) so the oversized look of the Oury's is in keeping. I use Champs on my Watanabe as the frame and components are slimmer/slicker so the Champs work for that particular look. Oury's on a steel frame with quill stem and 25" risers just look clunky - imo ;-)
