  • As for night riding... hope you got some decent lights. Go for it when you can hook up with some people, its a lot safer doing it with some other people.
This forum does plenty of night rides when the weather warms up a bit, and a few in the cold. The bigger ones can be cumbersome but if you see one organised more last minute stylee, definately hop on the train and come down.
Or maybe you could organise one into Essex for us, show us some new stuff that you know but we don't, perhaps start nearer town and take us into your neck of the woods, and loop back towards town or a decent train service that runs late. Seriously. We'd come. I would anyway. I promise you you won't regret it.
Cheers man, a really good thread. Booze is boring. Welcome to the forum.

    cheers for the reply
no i didnt have any lights on last night when i went for a ride (i know its dumb but i was only going down well lit roads)
im going to sort a decent set of lights out this week so i can go down some country roads and find a good route
ive only just got back into cycling after a 2 year break (i used to cycle as a kid and in my early teens till i was about 16 then ive just had other things on my mind and not focused on it that much )
i came out and the end of north street last night going onto the eastern avenue (a12) cycled up the eastern avenue then onto Colchester road and then up brook street then i came back cause i was tired (i had already cycles around gidea park) there is a path all the way to brentwood up the motor way ( i was surprised i didnt know it was there)
anyway over the next couple of weeks i will try to find a route that people will enjoy and organise a 20-30 miles cycle once i found a route that i like
