yeahhh, you can never judge whether you're sober enough to ride home safely. Thank god there are less cars around during this time. Glad you're alright, good luck for tomorrow morning, it may sting a bit.
I once rode home drunk still drinking, took my hands off the bars to open the bottle, steering locked up and i went flying over the bars. I didnt let the go off the beer in fear of wasting it so the bottle smashed right in my hand. It wasnt a pretty picture when my hands were scraping on huge pieces of glass.
I made quite a mess in the local pub that night trying to clean and stop the bleeding. I remeber lying in the sink under a cold tap with what appeared to be a bathroom from a slaughter house, there was blood on every fucking wall.
Now though, chicks dig the scars. -

way to many pints tonight, rode out to Acton to see a mate, got lost, very very lost. Took way to long to find the right street then did 3 laps of the rode before I found the right house. Bastard had cleaned up his front yard and it was unrecongisable

Had a similar experience riding home from the wests anniversary drinks, underestimated my speed, overestimated the grip on slippery tiles, down I went, though it was fun as with slippery tiles you just slide across and it's actually pretty enjoyable.
Anyway, HTFU and get back out there! Now!

Aww man, I have been waking up on and off all night because of the pain. My wrist is killing me, and I seem to have bled all over my bed during the night from the gash in my knee. I think I'm going to take a trip to the A&E in a few hours and make sure I haven't fractured my wrist. If I did it's pretty minor, because I can move it pretty well in most directions, but there are a couple ways it doesn't want to move and I cant bare any weight at all on it. I had a feeling this was going to get worse as the night went on. Ugh.

Aren't you in NYC? I would love to crash my bike in NYC, at least there would have been a bar open. Whiskey cures everything.

Just got back from A& E. Nothing broken, Just a nasty sprain and scraped up pretty good. This is when it's good to live in England, an A&E visit like that in the U.S. would have cost me about $600!

I meant Heal The Fuck Up of course =P
Holy crap, I was at a friends house tonight having a nice dinner and a few bottles of wine. I fugured I was fine though and hopped on my steed to head home. On the last stretch I was going full speed down hill and enjoying it thoroughly, but Mr. curb decided to jump out and attack me and I went down like a ton of bricks! I slid on the concrete for a good 6 feet shredding my jeans and gouging a hole in my knee, hip and elbow. I was bleeding quite a lot for a knee injury?
So I just laid there for a bit taking in the pain and the whole experience. Three cars stopped to see if I was ok. The funny thing is that all three guys got out of their cars and the first thing they all said was, "Hey man, do you need a cigarette?" and then they asked if I was ok? I took all three cigarettes and smoked them one at a time while sitting on the curb.
This is going ot hurt a lot more in the morning.
