Decathlon have some 1" wide (25.4 mm) Hutchinson tyres for £10 each. Worth a go for the rollers.

No they are not..
650c are 571 mm

according to my inner tubes:
26" x 1" = 650c x 23 = 559=571 -

That's inner tubes they stretch. You can use a 26" inner tube in a 700c wheel.

looking at some
WTB Slickasaurus Comp Tyre
Schwalbe City Jet
Michelin XC Road
am i right in thinking less groves make them quieter
ive just got a set of rollers and they are quite loud
im using a specialized nimbus tyre at the moment and i dont think the groves help that much in the quite department
Im guessing a slick tyre will be better for noise reduction
and im guessing the thinner the tire the quitter it will be (less traction less tyre touching the roller less rubber to make noise?)
i have a old xc mtb that i converted to a ss then put a set of road tyres on it so I could use it as a commuter, i dont know yet but i might just dedicate that bike to the rollers and that will give me a excuse to get a new xc mtb
So I basically want a set of 26 slicks as thin as possible for a 559 17 rim (that’s what it says on the rims I know 559 is the diameter but what is the 17 (is it the inside width of the rim ??)
Thanks
A person
