About time I braved this really and said hello.
This is my long serving bike:
And this is the chump with no regard for the poor bike's condition and/or the sensibilities of physics.:
I'll get my coat...
I've met you, I think it was outside Rolo Tomassi at Madame Jojos? We discussed your brake set up and Herne Hill.
Didn't you work with Roxy for a while too?

Ed, it's not a (complete) lack of competence just sheer laziness recently and being distracted by a new build that's led to it being in such a state. The Bianchi's looking very nice. What's the new project if I may?
Tom, yes that's correct we did meet outside Rolo Tomassi, although I believe the better description might be that you were dismayed by my brake! All the same it's really nice to just bump into strangers like that have a little chat. I don't work with Roxy but just around the with a photographer that is represented by the agency she works for.

that bike is a complete disgrace! You, young man, need to spend a few months working in a bike shop and get your priorities sorted out.

I've noticed that black and white bike near the burger joint/British Museum etc, locked up to the pole. The owner is either brave or a genius, as no one in their right mind would rob a bike in such a prominent position.
they are also always at work / home, and NEVER ride the thing. It's there every time I pass by, be it early mornings or late at night.

To be honest, on a fixed wheel bike, all you really need to take care is simply the chain (and the front brake), otherwise it's fine.
not a new bike, just look completely different now due to having a new project, this is the last change I'll ever make on the Bianchi;
Front wheel looks really good, I'm glad you like it!

My Bikes and My mug.
(finaly)
For a very long time, you have been the purest essence of tweed-age for me - good to finally know who you are!

picked this bike up about a week ago, i will be riding around York on it until May. Let me know if anyone is around and wants to go for a ride. I just need to replace the rear wheel which I stripped the cog right off of this past weekend.http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_eNQBuWT-Zwo/SZWktV0qyNI/AAAAAAAAAK8/cGplCvuDQ_c/s1600/IMG_1578.JPG

Yeah right! . . . looking great though

No I didn't get that one, it went for crazy money. I have got a second bike now though and it's almost fully built, I just need to cut down the steerer, bars and pickup a 22mm -19mm shim for the chainring then it's all good to go. I'm loving my frivolously laced wheels for it. Perhaps I'll up it to the current projects later.

yeah put it up... did you ever see my new one?

good to see so many lovely bikes!

oh it's reliable and ride really well, the annoying part now is trying to find a DT Swiss 1.1 rim for the back wheel that doesn't cost as much as I pay for the front wheel!

would you like to wager on that my dear?

Hello all, thanks for making this great site - been happily lurking for a while!
Here's my Plug. Just made a few upgrades - deep v on rear, open pro on front, both on a formula; brooks swallow; chopped plug bars; most other things are stock because I'm poor, apart from the custom muck and rust - that's mine!
And a pic of me too - I've had no work done myself!
Cheers...

Yeah, that makes sense. I've been living just off Grays Inn Road for a few months now and I head from there to QMUL most days. Gimme a wave next time. What are you cycling, I'll keep an eye out?

Cheers...No wonder you're poor, you just got yourself a Brooks swallow!
either way you're paying for a saddle for life, good choice of bike (try and smoothen the edge of the bar with sandpaper thought).

Cheers man, compliments like that help counter the abuse I get from friends for spending so much on "just some old-fashioned saddle". They don't understand!
Yeah, I just shortened the bars again the other day - sanding/bar plugs are still required
