A little help for a yank

Posted on
  • Hey all I need to ask for a little help about finding shit by the edgware road stop on the circle/distrcit/HS line (yes I know this is a bike forum and none of us ever take the tube ever yaddayadda.)

Anyways, my company is putting on a meeting at the Hilton over there and we need to find a printer in the vacinity who's cheap and quality. Or at least fast. Also some tasty bites to eat/bars and a place to do yoga (one of our producers is a fucking hippy, sorry) would be solid too.

Any of y'all PA's? Maybe I can score ya some work.

    Thanks,
    Crank

  • http://www.jubileeprinters.co.uk/about.htm Edgeware rd, quick and reliable.

  • Nice dude thanks. No dice on food/bars though. If I remember right pretty much everything in that area's pretty posh or totally chain or both right?

  • you suck!

  • I can find out an amazing Persian restaurant if you give me a few ticks..
Small + crowded place... but food is WOW.
EDIT - Patogh - (8 crawford place) looks like the one. Expect to wait and be very crowded, but the food and service are worth it for sure.

  • there was me thinking this thread was about someone needing hand relief etc.

    cheminee?

  • Patogh?

  • when are you coming over Jack?

  • Jack (you suck!):

there's a whiskey / cocktail bar called Salt that's close and worth a look if you're in to that sort of thing.

also, if you're colleagues are looking for a sanitized (but safe) experience, paddington basin is close by for restaurants etc.

  • for yoga:

if they're an ashtanga head and want something similar but different.

  • Some nourishing tidbits can usually be found below the flyover. Your colleagues may wish to bring torches with them though.

  • seymour leisure centre (about 5 blocks from the hotel)

Check to see if they have yoga when you want it.

It will be cheaper but less poncey than other (yoga) spots (for which you might have to head towards Portobello - the west side of Paddington)

By the way, Edgware road is probably one of the most disgusting parts of London. (I live just off there! and so does Tony Blair)!

  • Thanks for the dope kids, keep it coming. I dunno what kinda hippy the producer is but she asked about yoga so search I will. Anyways, I tried to get over on this job but shit just wasn't in the budget sadly...

I really wanna come over for april but currently I have $91 in my acct to live off of and payday isn't for another 2 weeks pretty much... YAY RAMEN!

Also, Maroush is pretty good. They have about 7 restaurants now in the Edgeware Road area, all giving a slightly different Lebanese experience. One has live music, one is just a quick in-out place, one has just desserts, one is a deli etc etc.
But with 7 on offer, you're bound to find one not too packed.

  • jack, i don't think they know what ramen is over here... i think the equivalent would be beans on toast.

  • I know what american ramen is, the equivalent here would be 50p Super Noodles from Home Bargains.
