**Things we do well on this forum, organise and go on a regular basis to Drinks, wherever they may be, and Ride. **

It has been noted that meeting up with a big group of forumengers that you don't know in a pub can be slightly intimidating. So to make it less so, this idea has been put forward to combine drinks and rides.

Think of it as a Forum Fresher's week, without the hazing, so that the previous months new members get a chance to meet up with, and ride with fellow forumengers. Talk bikes, find out where drinks are, and get a good ride in at the same time
You can come out to the beers closest to you, or trek out to a beers on the otherside of town, safe in the knowledge that you'll be with people who a) know where they are going, and that b) someone will be heading back in your general direction so you can ride home in the company of another forumenger.

Okay so for TrixieDix tonight Crabtree and I will be meeting new people at Trafalgar Square from 6.45pm - I presume along with the other pub destinations, so bonus socialising to be had. At 7pm Crabtree and I will lead the way from Trafalgar to the TrixieDix car park, busting all kinds of Mash / Bootleg Sessions / Macaframa crazy shit as we roll, for example doing no-handed endos into the backs of cars then sailing over the roof, landing and getting back on the bike. We'll be at TrixieDix by 7.15pm, at which point we'll chill, chat, have a couple of beers maybe, while all the time concentrating on perfecting those things we want to get down.

Most people completely new to it should try and wire two things that aren't really tricks but are most useful skills to have riding fixed: the trackstand, so you can wave your bottom around in front of buses at traffic lights, and the skid, so you can buy new tyres more often. A short educational presentation will be given on each of these should it be required. Beyond those first glorious skills, the car park roof, as they say in E1, is whatever you want it to be.
