  • I've got a Pinarello road frame in Aelle I run as a fixed, it's a fantastic frame, good ride quality and really tough. Aelle tubing is by it's nature pretty strong because it is not butted, just thick(er) walled. Like all these things, the frame design and quality of construction is as important as the tubing itself. You can give the best tubeset known to man to a crap frame builder and you'll get a crap frame. So, there's nothing intrinsically bad about Aelle, it's just not a top notch tube set, and not the lightest. But if it's used well, you won't notice the difference on the road. No idea how good Cicli Berlinetta are, but they look well made as far as you can tell from a photo.

    I have a Pinarello track, but with 'Forma' tubing. I'd like to see a pic of yours.
