how does this work, do you just press/hammer the stamp into the leather really hard?

i really like the font of the stamps!

Did my first couple last night after the polo tourney, they come out really nice.
Yep I have to get the hide damp first, then hammer it in (carefully) using a block as a prop underneath the hide to flatten the hide where I'm stamping.
