This thread has 219 pages of peoples opinions on bike aesthetics. I have hardly said anything outrageous here. I doubt I am on my own in thinking a quill stem looks better than an ahead stem on a steel tubed bike, in fact I would guess I am in the majority.
FWIW, I use aheads all the time as they are lighter and don't flex but this thread is about form not function. Form becomes less important after 50 miles and function takes over...
